The formula we have designed in RAWTERS, combines 5 ingredients that contribute to maintaining a good collagen status, improving joint health, recovering damaged cartilage and reducing inflammation and, therefore, post-exercise joint pain.
Collagen is, quantitatively speaking, the most important protein in the body. Up to 30% of the protein we have in the body is collagen. It is what we call a connective tissue which means that it gives cohesion to tendons, ligaments, skin...
From the age of 30 years onwards, collagen synthesis decreases by up to 1% per year, so it is wise to consider taking this specific supplement for joints from RAWTERS, in order to provide your body with everything it needs to maintain good joint health.
In sportsmen and women, whatever their sport, their joints and ligaments suffer from the stress generated by physical exertion.
In certain jobs involving cyclical or repetitive movements, it is common to encounter tendinitis or even arthritis.
Here is the extensive list of top quality ingredients that we have included in our formulation:
Glucosamine Sulphate and Chondroitin Sulphate: The consumption of this combination in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee is associated with pain relief and improved joint function.
Methylsulfonylmethane (or MSM): This recent supplement is increasingly present in many formulations (Hair & Nails) due to its anti-inflammatory to anticarcinogenic properties, and contributes to the normal functioning of collagen production because it is a source of sulphur, and the body uses it to synthesise the amino acids cysteine, methionine and taurine.
Vitamin C and Calcium: This water-soluble vitamin is an essential micronutrient, which means that we must obtain it from food, as our body cannot produce it by itself. Like calcium, the main mineral in the human body, it is essential for maintaining the bone, joint and ligament system in optimum condition.
Glucosamine, which comes from the hydrolysis of the chitin present in the exoskeletons of crustaceans due to its high concentration, is technically a glucose linked to a nitrogen molecule that is very present in cartilage and joints, and we add it to our complete formula because of its ability to prevent collagen degradation. Chondroitin, on the other hand, is a constituent substance of cartilage, and is responsible for giving it elasticity and cohesion.
In addition, the sulphur atom contained in methylsulphonylmethane or MSM is needed to synthesise glycosaminoglycans, which are responsible for forming collagen.
Three capsules a day is the recommendation for this complete supplement and the adverse effects, if taken in excess, are slight (digestive discomfort, diarrhoea...).
We recommend that you consider the option of combining it with Vitamin D+K for its effects in helping to fix calcium to the bones.
